what is involved in using Social Network Analys… more The following study aims to highlight the possibilities of using Social Network Analysis on monasteries and local churches identified in the early medieval documentation, whose geographical space comprises the northwest of the plateau during the ix-xi centuries. Likewise, we address the problems surrounding its application in a documentation with many obscurities, gaps and very fragmentary. In the professional field, between 1983 and 1987, he was president of the Metropolitan Council of the College of Engineers. He was honorary member of the National Council of the Assembly of Civility; director of the Professional Institute of Santiago; and executive secretary of the Foundation for Development and Popular Culture (DECUP).

Since 1997, he has been an academic at the University of Chile; project manager and consultant for the Economic Commission for Latin America (ECLAC) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

In the parliamentary elections of November 2013, he ran as a candidate for senator for Constituency No. 9, O’Higgins Region, representing the Christian Democratic Party, without being elected.

In December 1993, he was reelected deputy for the same District No. 35, (legislative period 1994 to 1998). He continued in the Permanent Commission of Mining and Energy, and was substitute deputy in the permanent commissions of Economy, Promotion and Development, and Science and Technology. He assumed as first vice-president of the House from March 11, 1994 to July 12, 1995.
